In this recipe, we’ll prepare the short rib with a spicy orange sauce, combining the citrusy sweetness of the fruit with a hint of heat from the peppers. A dish that will surely impress your guests.
Ingredients:
- 1 unit of Short Rib Estância 92
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon of seedless chopped jalapeño pepper
- 1 piece of cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of spicy paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper freshly ground to taste
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
Preparation:
Season the short rib with salt, black pepper, garlic, and lemon juice.
Heat a skillet, add the olive oil, and fry the meat for about 2 minutes on each side.
In the same skillet, add the butter, the other peppers, and sauté for about 1 minute.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the orange juice and add it to the skillet along with the honey. Let it simmer until a thick sauce forms.
Serve the short rib with the prepared sauce.
